Susana Franco Pinto

Is the Music department director and piano teacher at the Carlota Franco-Dance and Music school.
For the last 20 years, she has taught Individual Lessons and Piano Classes at Macphail Center for Music in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

Susana performs as a soloist and chamber musician with her piano duo, Duo Harmonia, both in the US and Portugal. https://www.duoharmonia.com/

Susana enjoys teaching students of all ages, including motivated beginners, interested in learning the classic pianistic repertoire.
For the last few years, Susana has been interested in the development and the artistic tutelage of advanced-level students.

She values ​​in his teaching, not only anxiety control practices, but also several healthy approaches to piano technique.

Susana encourages her students to be involved in different chamber music groups. She believes that this involvement will enhance their development as solo pianists.

She plans her piano lessons according to each student's level of motor coordination and musical interests. Under her tutelage, Susana hopes that each student understands that practicing the piano and studying music is an on-going process and a highly rewarding lifelong endeavor.

Susana's pianistic and music education combines European and North American traditions.

-Bachelor's degree from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, Portugal.

Susana has taught piano classes as a teaching assistant at Central Michigan University and was an Accompanist Assistant at the University of Iowa.
